In this class series students will be introduced to the practice of yoga. We will discuss yogic philosophy and how it applies to our daily lives, practice different breathing techniques, meditation and mindfulness exercises and yoga postures. The benefits of adding a yoga practice to your life are vast, some include: decreased anxiety and more calm in your day, strength and flexibility, a more focused and clear mind, increased energy and an overall general healthier and happier state of being. Students will also leave with an understanding of how to build a home practice so that they can continue doing yoga comfortably on their own.
This series of six classes is being taught by Amy Sobel, certified yoga instructor from the Samadhi Center of Yoga in Denver, Colorado. Classes meet for one and a half hours once per week six weeks.
