Residential Audio Video Systems

This introductory class will focus on the basic knowledge and skills needed to install low voltage systems in today’s homes. All classroom materials will reflect current industry practices and standards for low voltage wiring. We will have several hours of hands on activities. Students will be able to set-up a basic home theater, install and mount a flat panel television, set-up a basic home wifi network, and also install a basic control system. Students will walk away from this class with a good knowledge of how low voltage systems work in their homes. They will learn the basic skills to tackle small audio video projects on their own. Students will gain valuable knowledge on today’s consumer electronic products to help them make educated purchases and make less buying mistakes.

This series of six classes is being taught by EPOS Systems owner, Dan Crouss. I run a company that employs electricians and audio video technicians for the residential smart home market. Dan has more than twenty years of experience in the consumer electronics installation business, was a marine electrician in The United States Navy, and runs a company that employs electricians and audio video technicians. Classes meet for two hours once per week for six weeks.
